Rehearsal on May 13th
Our Rehearsal will be held at the Estell Manor School (128 Cape May Ave.) on Friday, May 13th. Rehearsal starts at 6:15 and usually ends around 9:00. Please park in the front of the school on parking spaces or grass and enter the main entrance where you will see a ramp. Sign in upon entering. For those who are new to rehearsals, the finale will be done first. That is why it is important to arrive on time. The rest of the dance numbers will be done in an order posted on the wall. When your child’s class is done he/she may leave. Please do not ask to have your number moved up as we cannot accommodate every request. This is not recital order. Rehearsals are mandatory!!! Students under the age of 17 are not to be left unattended. Our instructors are only watching your child while he/she is performing. You are responsible for your child all other times. Please plan to stay until your child is done or leave some responsible adult to supervise your child if you can not stay. It is important that your children know who is taking them home. Anyone under 18 traveling with someone other than a parent must have written parental permission.
Parents who signed up to help backstage during the recital should plan on helping with the finale and your child’s class during rehearsal.
Please eat before you arrive. If your child brings an activity to rehearsals please make sure that they clean up their area when they leave. It is unfair that the students that are there the longest must clean up the mess left behind by other students. No running in front of performers. Parents need to walk students to restrooms. They can not be unattended in hallway or outside. Wear proper dancewear and shoes. No bare legs. Tights or leggings should be worn. Leave jewelry home. No gum! Be quiet and polite. Excessive noise makes it hard for the dancers to hear the instructor. Parents are welcomed to videotape their child’s class during a rehearsal. This can be helpful to students that practice at home.

Tickets for the recital will be sold beginning on Saturday, April 30th from 10:00am –12:30pm at Dance Spectrum.
Tickets will be sold on a first come/first served basis. There will be a sign in sheet on door. Leaving after signing in will forfeit your place in line. After that date, tickets will also be sold whenever Ms. Crystal is available in the office and at the recital both nights. The Stockton Theatre has assigned seats and they all are good!! The recital will be on June 11th at 7pm. Tickets are $15 each for lower level and $12 for upper level everyone needs a ticket, including children. You may pay by check or cash if buying in advance but checks will not be accepted at the Stockton theater on June 11. We feel that this is an excellent theatre for students to perform in and most parents are very happy with the great view of the stage from any seat. Unlike other dance studios, students are not required to purchase a specified number of tickets. You may purchase as few or as many as you need. Renting a professional theater is expensive. In the past we always had two shows to ensure that we would have seats available for all. Unfortunately we have not sold enough seats the past couple years to cover the expense. Enrollment is lowest this year and we are certain that we will not be able to cover the costs of the extra day. This event only comes once a year and the students have worked very hard. This recital means a great deal to the dancers involved. They love to see a large audience when the curtain opens. Please encourage family and friends to come and show their support. Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable so make sure you purchase only those you are sure you and your family will use.

Dress Rehearsal will be held at Stockton on Friday June 10th from 6-9:15 in place of week night classes for that week. May and June tuition should be combined as one payment. There are no recital rehearsal fees for our May rehearsal or dress rehearsal as these are included in the last tuition payment. This will be equal to your normal monthly rate. This is due by May 15th. All tuition must be paid in full BEFORE picture day in order to participate in pictures. Non paying students will not be permitted to participate in the dress rehearsal or recital. Please take care of any outstanding bills before these events. We should not have to contact you about your bill or look for you at dress rehearsal. Refer to your yellow envelope for any outstanding balances and contact our office with any questions.
